Hoeksfontein Safaris, PO Box 15, Pearston, South Africa, 5860

I am Bennie Van Niekerk and will be your host. Whatever your preferences are and however you imagine your ideal safari, all you have to do is ask. You have heard the saying: "The impossible we do immediately, miracles require a little time." Well, give us the opportunity to make your imagination reality.

You are invited to a hunt based in the heart of the Eastern Cape of South Africa, with it's majestic mountains, open plains and rolling fields, warm African hospitality and beautiful landscapes.

Hunters prefer the Easten Cape because it is malaria free.  Over the last number of years hunting visitors have steadily increased as the area has been discovered.

Gun and bow-hunting opportunities are available for biltong or trophy hunters. Slaughter facilities, cold room, guides and a vehicle for the upload of animals are also available; wood is included in the daily fee. Species include Eland, Kudu, Nyala, Lechwe, Blou Wildebeest, Gemsbuck, Black Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Scimitar, Bushbuck, Zebra's, Impala, Blesbok, Fallow Deer, Mountain Reedbuck, all 4 colour Springbok, Duiker, Steenbok and Warthog. We can also offer the Big Five and a large variety of exotic species in the area. You can taylor a package that will suit your requirements exactly.

Escape and experience the hunt you will never forget; where you will find both quantity and quality in a variety of species that will suit your specific needs. In hunting concessions all over South Africa, from the Western Cape to Zululand in Kwazulu Natal, as well as the Kalahari in the north. For the real wild Africa experience, we have added concessions in Zimbabwe.

No import permit is required for the import of firearms and ammunition into South Africa,
as a temporary import/export permit will be issued to you at your point of entry.

For any of the Big 5 the law requires a minimum calibre of .375".
For plains game any calibre from .270" upwards will be suitable.
Shots range from close shots in brushy conditions to fairly long shots - up to
250 meters on open plains - so a good variable scope is recommended.
Should you plan to do some bird shooting, a 12-gauge shotgun is recommended.
Firearms can also be hired by prior arrangement.

Please make sure you do your homework regarding the identification of the different animal species.
